Pepperineā€™s music department always has something interesting happening, and these photos are only the tip of the iceberg. From ensemble performances, operas, musicals, and viola caroling to LA Philharmonic field trips, travel opportunities to Germany, and conventionsā€¦. Pepperdineā€™s music department has SO much fun!!!!

Itā€™s the first week of classes at Pepperdineā€™s Seaver College, which means that the most chic department on campus is back in full swing! Students have been seeing old friends, making new friends, attending rehearsals, and getting pumped for an incredible 26-27 school year.

The Carmel Bach Festival is one of the premier summer music festivals in the country, which features some of the most sought after vocalists and instrumentalists in the US and abroad for two weeks of intimate chamber music, and major masterwork, all set in one of the most beautiful destinations on the West Coast.
Each summer, four select vocalists from the Pepperdine music program participate in the festival as ā€œchoral fellowsā€ through which they have the opportunity to prepare and perform major choral masterworks presented during the festival. They also have regular vocal coaching and masterclasses with the young artists and vocal staff, and they have an all-access pass to the variety of concerts and presentations which take place during the festival.
The honor comes with a generous stipend and no cost lodging for the duration.
This summer, alongside the direction of Dr. Ryan Board, Johnathan Hodges, Miara Williams, Emma Hirte, and Joshua Corey were granted these coveted positions. Congratulations to all! šŸŽŠ
