Registration for the 2022 Annual Southern California Conference for Undergraduate Research (SCCUR) is open! SCCUR provides a forum for the presentation of the best research, scholarship, and creative activities of undergraduate students in the region. Fees of all Pepperdine presenters, faculty mentors, and volunteers will be covered by the Provost and Seaver Dean. Abstract submissions are due before 11:59 PM on Sunday, October 2, 2022.

Applications are now open for the Pepperdine Libraries Multicultural Internship Program!

The Pepperdine Libraries Multicultural Internship Program is a semester-long paid internship ($18/hr) during Spring 2023 for students interested in pursuing librarianship or curious about the field. Interns will have the chance to work on a capstone project while completing rotations in each area of the library. The program is open to students with an expected graduation date in 2023 or 2024 from one or more ethnic groups underrepresented in libraries.

Applications are due October 7, 2022 at 8:00 PM Pacific Time.

An ideal candidate has a dedicated and vibrant personal faith in Christ and a Youth Ministry (or similar) degree. If one is not already involved in the Presbyterian Church (USA), the candidate would need to be supportive and respectful of the specific faith tradition. The Harbor 2022 Pepperdine Bible Lectures are happening this week! Yesterday, Seaver Religion faculty, Dr. Dyron Daughrity and Dr. Stanley Talbert spoke at the workshop class entitled, “The Church as Storyteller and the Allure of History: Exploring Recent Histories of Churches of Christ and Christian Churches” led by Faculty Emerti in Religion, Jerry Rushford. Their insightful conversation focused on the history of the Restoration Movement!
