CT State Manchester, formerly known as Manchester Community College, located in Manchester, CT, awards associate degrees and certificates in more than 80 areas of studies, and also offers short-term career and personal development programs. Manchester Community College is one of the largest of the Connecticut Community Colleges, with more than 7,000 undergraduates in credit programs each year, and

it has the largest percentage of traditional-aged college students among its sister schools. MCC is proud of its academic excellence, new facilities, flexible schedules, small classes, low tuition, and faculty members with both academic and "real-world" credentials. Classes are held days, evenings, weekends, and online, and they prepare students for entry into a growing career field or transfer to a baccalaureate institution for further study. Articulation agreements with the state’s universities provide ease of transfer and maximize credits awarded. Financial aid is available, and comprehensive packages of grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities help make an MCC education affordable for all.

Bridging Divides: Interfaith Engagement, Courageous Dialogue, and Building Community in Times of Conflict

How can we build understanding and community in a time of polarization, global conflict, and deepening social divisions?

Join CT State Community College Manchester for a Distinguished Lecture featuring Dr. Raja Gopal Bhattar, a nationally recognized scholar, educator, and interfaith leader.

Dr. Bhattar will explore how empathy, curiosity, authentic dialogue, and relationship-building can help us navigate difficult conversations, challenge misconceptions, and build stronger, more inclusive communities.
The lecture will be followed by a conversation with local interfaith leaders, providing an opportunity to continue the dialogue and connect these ideas to our own community.

Wednesday, October 21 at 5:30PM
SBM Charitable Foundation Auditorium

Join us for an important conversation about how we can become bridge-builders in our campuses, workplaces, and communities.

🎉 Welcome Back, Cougars! 🐾
Today marked the first day of classes at CT State Manchester, and it was great to see our campus once again filled with students, faculty, and staff as we kicked off a new academic year!
Throughout the day, Welcome Tables were stationed across campus, where faculty and staff greeted students, answered questions, provided directions, and helped everyone get their semester off to a great start.
☕ There was an extra boost of energy this morning thanks to Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee Truck, which stopped by the AST Tower entrance! Thanks to the generosity of the MCC Alumni Association, students were treated to a complimentary cup of coffee to help fuel their first day.
A special thank you to all of our faculty and staff volunteers who helped make today such a warm and welcoming experience.
We’re excited for everything the new semester will bring. Welcome back, Cougars — and have a great semester! 💙🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2026 MCC Retiree Luncheon! It was a wonderful afternoon of reconnecting, reminiscing, and celebrating the incredible people who helped shape our campus community.

This year’s event was especially meaningful as we welcomed guests into our new event space, the Rockville Bank Community Foundation Meeting Room. The beautiful setting provided the perfect backdrop for sharing memories, enjoying a delicious meal, and strengthening the connections that continue long after retirement.

We are grateful for the many contributions of our retirees and look forward to staying connected for years to come.
