K-State students spent a month in Spain last summer building their Spanish language skills through immersive cultural experiences and individual research projects.

Students in humanities, health sciences, STEM, agriculture and other areas earned 6 credits and used Spanish to conduct research, interact with locals, explore new perspectives, and gain a cross-cultural understanding of their future professions.

Several students will share their research at the "Spain Today: Research & Photography" event from 3-4:15 p.m. on Wed., Oct. 28, in 015 Eisenhower Hall.

Plans are underway for another Spain Today program May 22-June 23, 2027. Learn more from the story linked below.

K-State psychology alum Jennifer Bonds-Raacke '02, '04, is the newest Kansas Board of Regents president and CEO, and she is ready to be a champion for KBOR's 32 public higher-education institutions, which includes K-State.

Bonds-Raacke found her love of teaching while working as a graduate assistant in K-State Psychological Sciences and has built a career in academic affairs. She now serves on the department's advisory board.
