From the lab to the Big 12 spotlight.

Carl Ade, associate professor in the School of Health Sciences, has been named K-State’s Big 12 Faculty of the Year honoree for his innovative research in cardiovascular health.

From exploring ways to protect the heart during cancer treatments to contributing to NASA-funded research, Ade's work spans disciplines with a shared goal: better understanding how the body responds to stress. His research also helps advance cardiovascular disease risk assessment and creates hands-on learning opportunities for the next generation of health professionals and researchers.
