This month, we are celebrating Exercise is Medicine on Campus! Dietetics student Sadie Kramer sat down with Dave Mirabito, a longtime supporter of Kansas State University and donor to the Food as Medicine Initiative.

"What's happened as a result of this [my diet] is you don't want to live healthy just to be healthy. You want to live healthy for a reason. It helps a great deal to have a purpose in life. I believe it's important in human nature to believe that tomorrow will be better than today, whether you're 10 years old or 80 years old," says Mirabito.

FCSEd prepares students to empower the next generation with essential life skills. Offered in partnership with the College of Education, students learn to teach a wide range of hands-on subjects at the middle and high school levels—including culinary arts and nutrition, personal finance, interior design, human development and fashion. Faculty and staff support student success and career readiness every step of the way.

Jessica continues to support K-State Early Childhood students by serving as a cooperating teacher to many of our kindergarten interns. It is so inspiring to see success from our Alumni!
