Great work Jax! Jax Tushaus has led the charge to reduce bird strikes at Trafton South by putting up easy on/off bird decals in high strike areas. Jax is working with Water Resources Center - Minnesota State Mankato this semester as an intern on a wide array of envrionmental projects including forest restoration.

Plant Physiology students learn about how sucrose is made from dihydroxyacetone and glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate via photosynthesis. Student Megan Schuster takes it one step further and demonstrates how to take this sucrose and create cinnamon rolls complete with a cream-cheese frosting. Interestingly enough, students didn't complain. (Carb-loading prior to Exam #2!)
