Many thanks to Leah McCarthy ‘21, who organized a clothing drive for the CU-Mansfield Career Closet!
Leah, who graduated with a degree in communication: public relations, works as a Social Media Specialist on the Global Social Media team at Corning, Inc. and is Co-Chair of the Corning Sustainability Network. As a part of Corning’s Sustainability Week, Leah organized a clothing drive for professional attire, to be distributed to three local higher education institutions, including Mansfield.
The Mansfield Career Closet is operated solely from donations of generous alumni and friends of the university. Students can utilize the closet for one full outfit each semester and will often use the clothing for experiences such as class presentations, interviews, professional conferences, internships, or employment.
Leah was a beneficiary of the Career Closet as a Mansfield student, using it to interview for her first full-time professional position (she got the job!).
