Companions Georgia had a very eventful Triennial session in Washington, D.C. On August 31 General Grand Chapter held their 73rd Session. At that session C. Danny Wofford received the gold medal of appreciation becoming only the 4th person in Georgia to receive that honor. He joins Sen. Richard Russell, Sen Sam Nunn, former Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tommy Irvin, a very prestigious list indeed. Mark Bradley was named an Honorary Past General Grand High Priest. And Steve Higgins was appointed an Ambassador to Georgia. Mark Bradley was also elected a Trustee of General Grand council. Congratulations All!
The next day was the 49th Assembly of General Grand Council. At that Session Clyde Griffin was given the Columbian Award for service to Masonry in general and to York Rite in particular. There is only one Columbian award given per region per Triennium. Jim Bard finished his term as a Regional Deputy General Grand Master but was appointed as one of two Senior Regional Deputies in the US. Jim was also re-elected as a Trustee for CMMRF. Steve Higgins was appointed as Ambassador in Georgia for General Grand Chapter.
