πŸ”§ It’s Always a Good Day When Students Get Tool Discounts! πŸ”§
This past week, MATCO Tools stopped by the Diesel & Power Equipment lab to visit with our students and help get them signed up for student tool discounts!
One of the great benefits available to our students is access to generous educational discounts on professional-quality tools from several vendors, including MATCO Tools, Snap-on, TEKTON, and MAC Tools. πŸ§°πŸ”©
These programs give our students an opportunity to begin building their own toolboxes while they are still in school and prepare them for careers in the diesel, automotive, agricultural, and heavy-equipment industries.
We greatly appreciate the companies and industry partners who invest in the next generation of technicians! πŸ‘
πŸ“’ If you or your business have other opportunities, discounts, donations, training, equipment, or resources that could benefit our students, please send me a PM. We are always looking for ways to connect our students with industry and give them the tools they need to succeed!

πŸšœπŸ”§ Great Start in the Diesel & Power Equipment Lab! πŸ”§πŸšœ
The school year is off to a great start in the Tri-Rivers Diesel & Power Equipment Technology Program!
Our students have spent the first several days getting to know one another, learning lab policies and procedures, reviewing safety expectations, and becoming familiar with the tools and equipment they will be using throughout the year.
This week, we officially started getting our hands dirty! πŸ› οΈ Students have begun tearing down small engines, identifying internal components, and learning how each part works together to make an engine run. This hands-on experience is the first step toward building the skills they will use on larger diesel engines and equipment throughout the program.
We have a great group of students who have come in ready to learn, work, and get involved. We are excited to see what they accomplish this year!
The tools are out, the engines are coming apart, and another year of DPE is underway! πŸ’ͺβš™οΈ

πŸŽ‰ 50 Years. 50 Alumni. 50 Success Stories.

As we celebrate 50 years of Tri-Rivers Career Center, we're proud to highlight alumni who are building successful careers with the skills they gained at Tri-Rivers.

⭐ Caleb Briggs
πŸŽ“ Class of 2024
- Home School: Upper Sandusky High School
- Tri-Rivers Program: Diesel & Power Equipment

After graduating from Tri-Rivers, Caleb continued his education in the Caterpillar ThinkBIG Program at Owens Community College, where he earned his Associate of Applied Science degree in 2026 and graduated Cum Laude. Today, he is a Level 3 Technician with Ohio CAT in Columbus.

Caleb credits Tri-Rivers with giving him the foundation for his success and is especially thankful for the support of his Diesel & Power Equipment instructor, Mr. Marsh.

"His guidance, mentorship, and belief in my potential had a lasting impact on both my personal and professional growth. Along with the support of my parents, he inspired me to continue my education, pursue a career in the heavy equipment industry, and keep striving for success every day."

Congratulations, Caleb! We're proud to celebrate your accomplishments and look forward to seeing all you'll achieve in the years ahead.
