We had a wonderful day on Saturday at the District LDE competitions. We are incredibly proud of everyone for making it to districts, and even more excited for those advancing to state! A huge shoutout to the wonderful delegates we brought, Claire Nuehring and Josie Brown. Our Ag Issues team will be advancing to State at the end of April! Congratulations to all of our members who participated and put in hours of hard work!💙💛

Six members of our chapter recently had the privilege of attending the 41st annual Iowa FFA legislative symposium and FFA day at the state capitol, where over 500 Iowa FFA members from 88 schools gathered. During the event, students listened to inspiring speeches from notable speakers Mike Naig, Jake Swanson, and Brian Fledpausch. Additionally, we met with Senator Molly Donahue to share our FFA experiences and gain valuable insights.

The chapter's remarkable experience at the 98th FFA national convention was capped off with a day at the expo center, where members interacted with colleges and numerous companies. Through scavenger hunts, members earned pins and learned to create dog leashes as a service activity. Our final night concluded with ice cream and a reflective discussion, highlighting the experience, lessons learned, and the honor of wearing the blue jacket.

During the national convention's third day, our chapter commenced the day with an extraordinary tour of Purdue University, where members explored innovative career paths and strategies for achieving future success. We participated in the expo center, where we had great discussion with colleges and formed meaningful connections with businesses supporting the future of agriculture. Our first full day at the National Convention kicked off yesterday, starting with a trip to the zoo. This was followed by Opening Session 1A, where we participated in dancing and listened to A'ric Jackson, this year's exceptional keynote speaker, as members gained valuable life lessons. Members also had a productive discussion with the Iowa FFA State President, Chloe Zittergruen. The evening wrapped up with a reflective discussion on the day's experiences, focusing on personal growth and agricultural insights.

Our journey to the 98th national convention commenced on Tuesday. We made a lunch stop at the I80 truck stop, followed by a scheduled visit to the John Deere pavilion, where we participated in an interactive John Deere scavenger hunt and acquired numerous new facts.
