The Temple Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. announces with profound sorrow the passing of our beloved Vice President, Soror Dell Ingram-Walker, who departed this life on March 22, 2026.
Soror Ingram-Walker was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. through the Temple Alumnae Chapter in the Spring of 2017. From the moment she entered our sisterhood, she exemplified a spirit of excellence, grace, and unwavering commitment to service. Her leadership as Vice President was marked by integrity, vision, and a deep love for the chapter she so faithfully served.
A pillar within the Temple community and across Central Texas, Soror Ingram-Walker’s impact extended throughout Temple, Waco, Killeen, and surrounding areas. She served others with a giving heart, steadfast determination, and a standard of excellence that inspired all who encountered her.
Professionally, Soror Ingram-Walker was a trailblazer and history-maker, serving as the first Black female President of Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Hospital. Her leadership and excellence in healthcare administration reflected her deep commitment to service, community, and improving the lives of others.
She was passionate about living well and embracing life abundantly, encouraging others to do the same through both her words and her actions.
Her legacy is one of strength, service, leadership, and sisterhood. Soror Ingram-Walker leaves behind an indelible mark on our chapter, her profession, and the countless lives she touched. While her presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will forever remain a guiding light within the Temple Alumnae Chapter.
