Calling all ALUMNI of Wiley University: Wiley Director of Bands Marques Graham needs your help to recruit band students into our band program. If you know any musicians in your community looking for a scholarship - or graduating seniors with no music experience who still need a university to call home, and an ideal institution to begin their higher education journey - please share with them! Interested students can simply scan the QR code on the flyer and schedule a virtual audition to receive immediate financial award offers.

Please share the flyer on your social media, with your family, friends, co-workers, church members, or any other area you believe will help bolster recruitment. Working together, we can build a mighty band program using the entire Alumni base as a spokesperson and recruiter! Spread the word, we are building a “Grandioso” band program at Wiley University!

Join us for the 2024 Founder's Observance Convocation at 11 a.m. Friday, March 15, in the Julius S. Scott, Sr. Chapel. Wiley University alumnae Dr. Laurie Hayes Fluker, the daughter of Wiley's Eleventh President, Dr. Robert E. Hayes, Sr., who was also a Wiley alumnus, Class of 1941, will deliver the message. We look forward to having alumni and friends back on campus for Founders Observance, set for March 14-17, 2024. The theme for the 2024 celebration is “Standing on our Legacy: 151 years of Educational Commitment and Excellence,” which expresses gratitude and reverence for the trailblazers of Wiley University, who have been vital in making the institution what it is today.

Tickets are almost sold out, please make your final purchase by Monday at 5:00 pm to ensure seating. Tickets for seating will not be available at the door.

On the evening of Saturday, February 24, 2024, at UNCF’s 77th National Alumni Council/65th National Pre-Alumni Council Leadership Conference, in Jacksonville, Florida, Miss Janae Pratt ‘26 was named Miss National UNCF (United Negro College Fund) 24-25. This marks the 11th consecutive year that Miss Wiley University UNCF has brought home this honor.

We joyously welcome Dr. Phillip L. Pointer, Sr. as our guest preacher for Wiley University’s Black History Month Chapel Service!

Dr. Pointer is the Senior Pastor of the Saint Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. We also continue our Black History Month series celebrating in the colors of the Pan-African Flag.
