Students at Marshall Junior High collected, cleaned, and sorted 200 pounds of bottle caps that will be used toward the purchase of a 6-foot bench for the front of the school. The bench will be placed in honor of Tiffany Macke, creator of the iDREAM iCREATE program, and the lasting impact she made on students and our community.

We are so proud of these students for rolling up their sleeves and helping turn something as simple as bottle caps into a lasting tribute!

The 2nd Annual Clark, Crawford, and Edgar 4-H Livestock Judging Contest brought together 169 youth competitors from across Central Illinois to showcase their knowledge and passion for the livestock industry.

Livestock judging continues to grow in popularity as students discover new ways to develop critical thinking, communication, and decision-making skills while exploring career opportunities in agriculture. Through events like this, Clark, Crawford, Edgar County 4-H is proud to provide opportunities for youth to pursue their sparks and interests.

A huge congratulations to all participants for their hard work and dedication! We also extend our sincere thanks to those who provided livestock for the contest and to the Lake Land Judging Team for serving as officials for the event.

Life can feel noisy, rushed, and full of more than we have room to carry.

Mastering Mindful Moments creates space to slow down and practice simple ways to manage stress, become more present, and respond to everyday challenges with greater calm and awareness.

Across six sessions, participants will explore practical mindfulness strategies through guided activities, reflection, and simple techniques that can be used in daily life.

On October 9, University of Illinois Extension staff from Units 19 and 20 partnered to present at the Regional Office of Education (ROE) 11 professional development event.

During the session, elementary educators learned about the wide range of educational programs and resources available through Illinois Extension, including opportunities that support STEM learning, agriculture, healthy living, and youth development.

To provide teachers with a firsthand look at Extension programming, staff facilitated a hands-on STEM activity similar to those offered in classrooms across the region. The experience allowed educators to actively engage in inquiry-based learning while exploring how Extension programs can complement classroom instruction and support state learning standards.

By connecting directly with educators, Illinois Extension increased awareness of available resources and strengthened partnerships with local schools. These relationships help expand access to engaging STEM experiences for youth, equipping teachers with additional tools to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in their students.

Looking for hands-on learning opportunities for your homeschool student? Join us for our STREAM Series, where we'll explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Reading, Art, and Math through engaging lessons and interactive projects!

Each session, students will discover a new topic, learn interesting facts and concepts, and complete a fun hands-on activity to bring their learning to life. This is a great opportunity to connect with other homeschool families while fostering creativity, critical thinking, and a love of learning.

Come learn, create, explore, and have fun with us each month!

There is a one-time fee of $10 for each student.

All classes will be 10-11 a.m. on the days below at the Robinson Public Library

On September 9, the Marshall Dream Team gathered at Gypsy Queen Coffee for their annual kickoff meeting as they prepare for another year of inspiring local youth through the iDREAM iCREATE program.

These dedicated volunteers partner with Marshall Schools to bring engaging lessons to students in grades K-12 on topics such as entrepreneurship, communication, leadership, goal setting, career exploration, and the power of dreaming big. Through classroom activities and real-world experiences, they help students build confidence, discover their strengths, and envision their future.
