The CommUnity Center was hoppin’ for Tuesday’s “Bling It On!” diamond painting. We had 47 students come through! We also have a new craft station to keep up with our students!

The CommUnity Center was a buzz today! We held the plant propagation Free Play again this year for FYE Welcome Weekend and it was a hit. We are ready to get this semester started! Thank you Heidi S. Busch for the pothos cutting donations.

As we prepare for the new semester, we're asking for your help in supporting the Verna B. Coleman CommUnity Center's Period Product Initiative.
Through this program, we provide free period products in most on-campus restrooms and at all six UTM Regional Centers, helping ensure these essential items are available to anyone who needs them.
We welcome donations of new, unopened items, as well as previously opened packages or boxes with unused products. Every contribution makes a difference and helps us continue providing this important resource for our campus community.
Last year alone, the CommUnity Center distributed more than 11,000 menstrual products to UTM students.

The MailOUT Initiative is a Trans Services program created to support trans and non-binary individuals living in rural and surrounding areas of Memphis, TN who may face barriers accessing affirming supplies.

Participants can discreetly receive gender-affirming items such as:⁠
✅️ Affirming undergarments
✅️ Binder
✅️ Menstrual care products
✅️ Harm reduction kit
✅️ Gender-affirming literature / resources
✅️ Ministry or spiritual support items
✅️ And more!⁠

Because affirming care should never be out of reach.
