Faculty and staff welcomed Blue Ridge CTC STEM students back on Tuesday, August 25th, for the Fall 2026 Semester. Free coffee, tea, and cookies were available starting at 8am., followed by a free lunch with the works!
Students picked up free Blue Ridge CTC merch and food, learned about the STEM Club and other on-campus activities, and met faculty and staff from the IT Division. Faculty and staff welcomed new and continuing students and had great conversations over coffee and lunch. Students and faculty even enjoyed some board-game fun!

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make a big difference!

The Gaming Careers Institute recently received a new supply of casino-quality playing cards thanks to our continued partnership with Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races.

They may look like ordinary cards, but for our students, they’re an important training tool. These cards are the same quality as those used in casino environments and are compatible with the equipment and procedures our students learn to use in the classroom. That means more realistic practice and better preparation for the casino floor.

We’re grateful to Hollywood Casino for its continued partnership and support of our students. At GCI, we’re always looking for ways to improve the classroom experience and provide students with the equipment, instruction, and hands-on training they need to succeed.

We offer daily breakfast and lunch at both our Main Campus and Tech Center. Here are this week's lunch menus for both locations! We have a special lunch menu at the Main Campus to honor the late Dolly Parton, a true legend. May she rest in peace.

Breakfast hours are 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. Lunch hours at the Tech Center are 11 AM to 1 PM, while lunch hours at the Main Campus are 11 AM to 1 PM; however, the Main Campus cafe stays open until about 2 PM with grab-and-go and fried selections.
