Congratulations to our Vice President, Alanna Wise, on this well deserved honor. We are grateful for her leadership, guidance, and unwavering commitment to our chapter. Whether behind the scenes or at the forefront, she consistently steps up to the plate, lending her time, talents, and expertise to ensure the success of our programs and initiatives.

Thank you, Alanna, for all that you do, both seen and unseen. Your dedication to sisterhood, scholarship, and service does not go unnoticed, and we are blessed to have you as a part of Kappa Delta Omega.

During our June chapter meeting, the members of Kappa Delta Omega Chapter had the honor of recognizing our cherished Charter Members for their vision, dedication, and unwavering commitment to service.

We were delighted to present special gifts to our Charter Members in attendance, Sister Madie Rountree and Sister Lois Hairston, as a token of our appreciation for the foundation they helped build more than five decades ago.

We are especially proud to recognize Sister Madie Rountree for an extraordinary 65 years of service to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®. Her dedication, leadership, and commitment to our sisterhood continue to inspire generations of women.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our Charter Members for paving the way and establishing a legacy that allows us to continue serving the Martinsville and Henry County community through sisterhood, scholarship, and service to all mankind.

The members of Kappa Delta Omega are proud to congratulate our sister on being honored with the prestigious G.W. Carver Education Award at the 2026 John Robert Lewis Good Trouble Gala hosted by the Pi Phi Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.

This recognition is a testament to her unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to education. Through her service to Bassett High School and Henry County Public Schools, she continues to make a lasting impact on the lives of students, families, and the community as a whole.

We celebrate this well-deserved honor and applaud the difference she makes every day through her leadership, excellence, and devotion to empowering future generations. This June, we invite every member to join us for the final Black Dollar Days of the Soaring Administration.

Through the power of intentional spending, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® members have invested more than $50 million in Black-owned businesses during this administration. This June, we’re building on that legacy with a goal of spending $8 million more.

Every Pink Friday, we encourage Sisters to “Wear Pink, Spend Green, and Buy Black” by spending at least $19.08 with a Black-owned business.
