Meet Alejandra,Administive Assistant to the Vice President of Student Services at Yuba College! Alejandra’s journey began as an alum at Yuba from 2012 to 2015 before she took on her full-time role.
Her path to education was unique—after graduating high school, Alejandra proudly served in the military for four years. Following her service, she embraced a new chapter in life and pursued a degree in business administration. What truly inspires her is being around students on campus—there’s nothing she loves more than witnessing their involvement and growth!
As a veteran, Alejandra found a strong support system in the veteran’s office, reminding her of the importance of community. Her advice to future students? Build your community! Surround yourself with support, just as she did with her fellow veterans.

Meet Xander! Xander attended Yuba College from 2021 to 2024 and proudly graduated with an Associate in Science Degree/Welding. Xander believes that choosing Yuba College was one of the best decisions of his life. Not only did he gain valuable knowledge from the welding program, but it also led him to a fantastic job that supports him and his family.
His favorite spot on campus? The welding shop! It wasn't just a place to learn; the camaraderie with fellow students and professors made it an enjoyable environment.
Xander's advice to future students considering community college? “Keep going, no matter how hard it gets! Community college can be a pivotal step in your journey, pushing you toward your goals, even when it feels challenging.”

Congrats to this incredible sophomore class! They just clinched their second Bay Valley Conference Championship with an 85-79 win over Los Medanos. So far in their two years at Yuba they have :
-Won back to back BVC Championships
-Been ranked in the top 10 in California both years including a preseason #2 this year
-undefeated in BVC over two years at 30-0
-overall record in two years of 50-5
-average margin of victory this year of 21.7ppg
-combined GPA of 3.25
-current record of 24-2
