A BIG thank you to Tellurian Brewing tonight! We had a great turnout of NIACC alumni who came to enjoy a beverage with good company.

A gentleman, Richard Cole (pictured on the left in green) approached our sign-in table, and we asked him “are you an alum of NIACC?” he said “well, no… Mason City Junior College is where I graduated from in 1959!” We all shared a good chuckle, of course, but he was very happy to join us for the evening.

It doesn’t matter when you graduated - once a Trojan, always a Trojan! Thank you all for joining us tonight. If you didn’t catch us at this alumni pop-up, be sure to check the events listing on our page to see the upcoming events! We hope to see you soon!

We had a great time serving lunch to employees at Good Shepherd in Mason City for our latest NIACC Day! An added bonus - of the 80 who came for lunch, we’d estimate that 80% of them are NIACC alums. Just goes to show you that investing in NIACC is ALWAYS an investment in North Iowa!! What a wonderful time out in the community. Would you like a NIACC Day at your business? Shoot us a message! 💙 💛

Best wishes to the wonderful Sally Becker as she moves into the next chapter of her life. 50 years with NIACC is an incredible achievement!

After more than 50 years of dedicated service to NIACC, Sally Becker is retiring. Throughout her remarkable career, Sally served in a variety of roles, spending much of her time helping students succeed in the Writing Lab.

Her encouragement, kindness and commitment to student success made an impact on generations of learners. When welcoming new students to campus, Sally often shared this advice: “Come to NIACC and enjoy every day—it will be the best decision you ever make.”

Today, we celebrated Sally’s contributions and presented her with a sculpture that will be displayed in the NIACC library. Created by artist Chon Love, the piece features a butterfly with stained glass flowers in its wings.

Thank you, Sally, for five decades of service! Your NIACC family wishes you all the best in retirement!
