Knowing your value is where the journey begins.

Our latest B.A.R.T. meeting delivered a powerful day of mentorship, financial empowerment, reading, learning and fun for our young men.

We were honored to welcome last year’s B.A.R.T. Ambassador of the Year, District Attorney Darius Pattillo, who shared words of encouragement. B.A.R.T. Ambassador Maine Prince, an NFL agent and member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated, challenged participants to recognize their worth during his presentation, “Knowing Your Value.”

The young men also strengthened their financial literacy and opened savings accounts with VyStar Credit Union, explored the new B.A.R.T. app and participated in engaging book discussions led by B.A.R.T. Chair Yolanda Kimbro.

This is B.A.R.T. in action: building confidence, expanding knowledge and preparing young men to lead.

At Poetic Justice, artistry met advocacy, poetry became a call to action, and the energy moved the entire room.

Through powerful performances, honest reflection, fellowship and joy, we were reminded that our voices matter, our votes matter and our collective action matters.

We can use our gifts to educate, inform, raise awareness and inspire change.
We are committed to continuing this work through community events, civic engagement and partnerships that connect people with the information and resources they need. We invite our Sorors, community partners and neighbors to stand with us, support the work and help us turn powerful words into purposeful action.

We heard the words.
We felt the power.
Now, let’s do the work.

Kudos to every artist who shared their gift, our Arts and Letters and Social Action committees, and everyone who supported an unforgettable evening at 1942 Social.

When artistry meets action, the result is Poetic Justice. 🎤

Our poets and artists filled 1942 Social with words that uplifted, encouraged and challenged us to act. Through the combined efforts of our Arts and Letters & Social Action committees, we were reminded that our voices matter—on the stage, in our communities and at the ballot box.

The words were powerful. The fellowship was good for the soul. And the message was clear: We must continue to do the work—and we must vote.

Good energy. Good vibes. Even better people.

Kudos to every artist and poet who shared their gifts, our Arts and Letters team, our Social Action team and everyone who supported this incredible evening. This was Poetic Justice!
