Two recent HortScience publications by Dr. Baysal-Gurel and grad student, Pratima Subedi, were featured on the American Society for Horticultural Science's website. The pubs focused on Botryosphaeria dothidea, a fungal pathogen associated with stem canker in eastern redbud.

McMinnville, TN  Research from Tennessee State University’s College of Agriculture is giving nursery producers, landscapers and arborists new information to help manage stem canker in eastern redbud, a popular ornamental tree known for its spring blooms and heart-shaped leaves.

The LEAP (Labor, Efficiency, Automation, and Production) research team led by Dr. LeBude (NC State) and Dr. Fulcher (UT) organized a tour of German nurseries in the Hamburg-Oldenburg area in early June. Dr. Addesso and local nurserymen joined the tour to learn about German nursery practices and automation adoption. We will be sharing some highlights from the trip. If you don't complete the required CEUs (Continuing Education Units) of your certification by June 30th you will have to retest to maintain a certification.
