Thank you to the delegates of the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons International. I appreciate your kind words of support, your prayers, and your vote. It has been a great year and a half as a candidate for the office of General Grand Scribe.

It is hard to thank everyone who had been there during this campaign while seeking office. There have been so many Companions who have supported me. I will thank my wife, Adriane, for her continued support and encouragement while I was a candidate.

Your vote today humbles me beyond words. I promise to serve each of you, the General Grand Chapter, and our Great Creator, to the best of my ability, as I serve for the next three years as the General Grand Scribe.

Today we have our Triennial business meeting for the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons Infernational.

This morning, starting at 7:00 AM, I will be outside of the registration area at my table where I still have a few books, pins, decals, and business cards left. Please stop by and pick one up.

The election will be held this afternoon. Regardless of the outcome, I want to thank each of your for your encouragement, support, and kind words during my candidacy. I have travelled around the world and met with many of you and shared my vision for Capitular Masonry.

As I have been told on so many occasions by a very close friend and Brother, ‘it’s the journey and not the destination which is most important.’ He is right. My journey meeting and spending time with our Companions has changed me, and I hope you as well, for the better.

Be blessed. My next update will come after the election.

Yesterday was a great day! I met Companions from all over the world and we discussed our visions for Capitular Masonry.

In the evening we had our memorial service after the public opening of both the General Grand Chapter and General Grand Council.

I enjoyed a delicious dinner with part of our Kansas delegation. Then we spent some time together back at the hotel.

I’ve enjoyed meeting and getting reacquainted with so many Companions from across the globe here in DC. Yesterday was a tiring day moving from hotel to hotel and getting packed and unpacked, but it has been quite enjoyable.

Many of us in attendance took the new ‘Legendary Origin of the Holy Royal Arch Degree’ Ceremony. It was well written and delivered.

I want to thank the many Companions who stopped to speak with me, pick up a pin, or receive a signed copy of ‘Working Tools’ at registration yesterday.

Be sure to stop by the registration area on the second floor between 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM. I have a table with Sean McNorton near the stairs. It would be great to chat with you!

I spent yesterday at the amazingly beautiful Philadelphia Masonic Temple. The rooms and the edifice itself are outstanding and show so much dedication to the Craft. Several of their rooms have been used for Royal Arch work.

Traveling and interacting with York Rite Masons from around the world is a great way to share ideas and better understand the positions of those who may not be a member of our GGCRAMI.

Leading up to the Triennial session, I’m with the Grand Lodge of Kansas touring our Nation’s Capitol and visiting several Masonic edifices.

On Wednesday, our morning tour included Arlington National Cemetery. The Grand Master, Most Worshipful Brother Dave Hendricks, myself as Right Eminent Grand Commander, and Right Worshipful Brother Herb Merrick, Worthy Grand Patron, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Truly one of the most solemn and respectful things I have done as the Grand Commander of the Grand Commandery of Knights Templar of Kansas.

Afterwards we visited the Capitol Building and ended the day at the George Washington National Masonic Memorial, where we opened Grand Lodge and received the MWGM of Virginia.

Triennial 2026 News

The Triennial is almost here and we can't wait to enjoy the fellowship of our companions from around the world. Just a few things for you to know before you begin your "rough and rugged road" to Washington, D.C.
Dress code - Please be advised that some of this has changed over time. The following is a recommendation for your consideration.

Saturday and Sunday - casual wear for most activities. You may want to a coat and tie for the Sunday Opening ceremony and memorial service.

Monday - General Grand Chapter meeting: Red coat, tie, dark pants, [OR dark suit] and any regalia you would normally wear to a Chapter meeting

General Grand Chapter Banquet: Formal for men and ladies or dark suit/"Sunday best"

Tuesday - General Grand Council meeting: Purple coat, tie, dark pants, [OR dark suit] and any regalia you would normally wear to a Council meeting

General Grand Council Banquet: Dark suit for the men and "Sunday best" for the ladies

Registration -
Everyone must go to the registration desk, on the second floor, and get your meal tickets and convention bag. If you are a voting delegate you must go to the Credentials desk to get your ballot. If you registered as a delegate, everything should be in order. If you are a late obtaining proxy or just forgot you are a dias officer!!!, you still must go to the Credentials desk to get your ballot - it just might take a little longer. Both Registration and Credentials are on the second floor. BE ADVISED: When the gavel sounds to open, it is too late to register.

Welcome reception - This is a new addition. The General Grand Chapter and General Grand Council will host a Welcome Reception on Sunday night from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. There will be light refreshments served. It is a "drop in" function. Come by and visit with your Companions from around the world. Come by and make new friends you otherwise would never know. It will be a great fellowship event. REMEMBER, IT IS A RECEPTION -- NOT DINNER!!! Enjoy your Triennial and leave some refreshments for your other Companions.

We are exactly one week away from the Triennial Session of the General Grand Chapter Royal Arch Masons International. The word which comes to mind for me as we enter this session is unity. I believe in unity between all our Masonic bodies. Unity does not mean we forget to do what is important for our General Grand Chapter and for Royal Arch Masonry as a whole. Quite the opposite. It means we can work together with other Orders and their leadership to create scenarios which provide success for all. We are stronger together as a Masonic family.

I will be available during check-in at Triennial and at other hospitality rooms and locations in the hotel on Saturday and Sunday. Please stop by, feel free to ask any questions, and allow me to give you something from me which explains more about who I am, what I believe in, and my vision for Royal Arch Masonry and the General Grand Chapter in the future.

Be safe as you travel to DC, and I look forward to speaking with each of you who are attending.
