Theta Chi Fraternity at Allegheny College

Theta Chi Fraternity at Allegheny College of Meadville. We are the brothers of Theta Chi of the Beta Chi Chapter.

The Beta Chi chapter builds resolute men via the attainment of academic excellence and development of personal & leadership skills, while offering a philanthropic assisting hand to the United Service Organization and Women's Services Inc. Our chapter was brought to Allegheny College in 1942, where decades of fine gentleman promoted the values of brotherhood that are still being communicated today.

Today, our undergraduate brothers continue to recruit new members and keep the good name of Theta Chi alive.

ā€œThis summer I had the opportunity of being able to work 2 internships , PRYSE and Open Field.

I’m a lead counselor at PRYSE , I work with refugee youth in the Pittsburgh area at Duquesne university. We create a safe environment for the youth and give them a platform to share their voice and creativity. This happens through workshops and classrooms and also friend trips. I get to lead a classroom and create activities for the youth and further gain more connections into the Pittsburgh area.

I’m a community leader at open field , this summer I went around the northview community and gave job applications to youth ages 14-18 for a chance for them to become junior leaders. We created training sessions where youth would learn leadership skills and professional etiquette to further them at their job. Tuesday’s and Thursday we hold a soccer program in the community, junior leaders help recruit and gather participants so they can play soccer and also learn leadership values. In the sense of bringing the community together.

I’m also still working on my YBL program and this summer we are hosting a sports tournament for the community awarded with trophies and cash prizes. This will be our second annual tournamentā€ - Abdikadir Lugundi
