MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Holly Staggs received her doctorate from the University of Memphis this past commencement season, only not in the way you’re probably imagining.

Our professors go above and beyond for our students. Denise Winsor is one of the best!

Staggs planned to attend commencement, even if she was "wheeled across the stage." Instead, she was unable to leave her hospital room.
