Our AgTech 1.0 and 2.0 classes spent some time this morning assisting Memphis Area Master Gardeners at Collierville Victory Garden giving back through a hands-on service project!

Students planted turnips, learned about the importance of composting, pulled weeds, watered plants, raked leaves, added dirt to raised garden beds, and helped care for the garden space.

We love opportunities like this that allow youth to get their hands dirty, learn new skills, and see firsthand how agriculture, sustainability, and service all work together. We are proud of these students for their hard work and willingness to serve their community!

ANR Agent Joseph Seago racked up at the TAAA&S 2026 Awards Banquet at Pickwick State Park! He received an Achievement Award and two Communication Awards. Even ANR Program Leader Tracey Sullivan got in on the action😁. We are proud of you and the work you do, Joseph!

UT/TSU Extension will present our next Canning College July 8-9, 2026 from 6:00-8:00pm! This class will be held at Agricenter International – 7777 Walnut Grove Rd, Building C, Memphis, TN 38120.

This two-day workshop will cover the basics of water-bath and pressure canning. Registration is $50.00/per person. Please see flyer for details.

Our final full day of camp has come to an end, and what an incredible day it was!

Campers wrapped up their second day of STEM sessions, diving into activities like Into the Wild, Cooking with Chemistry, Biodiversity Buzz, Farm to Table, and Forensic Files. The day was full of opportunities to explore, create, and grow!

We wrapped up the evening with a “Great Escape” investigation before closing the night with one of camp’s favorite traditions — our campfire ceremony. ❤️

As our final full day comes to a close, we are thankful for the memories made, new friendships formed, and experiences that will last long after camp end!

🌱 Join us for a Pesticide Recertification Training on June 11 at the Agricenter in Memphis.

📍 The session will run from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Banquet Room (Wing C), located at 7777 Walnut Grove Rd.

✅ You can earn 1 point per session, and the cost is $25 per point.

⚠️ The current certification cycle ends on June 30, 2026, and 3 points are required to maintain certification, so this is a great opportunity to stay up to date.
