Please join me in congratulating Perri Johnson a doctoral candidate in our BME Department who received the first-place award in the graduate student podium competition for his presentation entitled "Evaluation of a Dynamic Ankle Orthosis to Improve the Management of Tibial Bone Stress Injuries in Local Runners: A Proposal". The presentation was co-authored by his Academic Advisor Denis DiAngelo, PhD and research collaborator, Max Paquette, PhD. Perri also gave a second presentation entitled "A Dynamic Ankle Orthosis Improved Patient Comfort during Extended Wear compared to an Orthopedic Walking Boot" with the same group of co-authors.

Matt Grosman is a master thesis candidate in our BME Department who received the second-place award in the graduate student podium competition for his presentation entitled "Development of a Novel Suspension System for a Military Rucksack that Reduces Repetitive Stress Injuries During Ruck Marching". The presentation was co-authored by his Academic Advisor Denis DiAngelo, PhD and research collaborators Shelby Peel, PhD and Max Paquette, PhD.
