Get to know the people behind the emails!

At our college, every faculty and staff member would drop what they're doing to help a student or parent—whether it's giving directions, answering an advising question, tracking down a resource, or offering a pep talk after an exam that didn't go as planned. One name you'll see doing this day in and day out is Debra Wyatt. Chances are, you've emailed with her yourself.

Debra wears just about every hat there is—IT consultant, recruiter, coordinator, professor, advisor, and veteran. Above all, she's a problem fixer. A proud double-tiger with both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from our university, she makes being a Memphis Tiger mean more than just having a degree—it means showing up for people, every single day. She's the kind of person this college simply wouldn't run without.

Today, we celebrate her birthday (albeit, belated)—and everything she does for all of us. Happy Birthday, Debra!

Camp Chef is calling! 🍌 WEEK ONE IS OFF TO A GREAT START 🤸

Each year, our Dietetics program, led by registered dietitians and professors Mary Catherine Schallert and Sarah Foley, welcomes students in grades 3–9 for a week of hands-on exploration in the culinary and nutrition arts.

From root to plate, campers learn the essentials of food production, discover how nutrition fuels their bodies, and develop skills for creating meals that are both delicious and nutritious. It’s a week filled with learning, creativity, and plenty of fun in the kitchen.
