Happy !! This week we’re hearing from Anne Claire and why she continues to choose Chio!

“My main reason for joining Chi O was because of how connected I immediately felt to all of the girls in the chapter, even though I had never met any of them before. Kappa Beta has a special way of bringing together girls who are all so different, yet share the same core values, and I believe that is what makes our sisterhood so special. When I ran home on Bid Day, I did not know anyone in my PC, but through the connections I had made with girls already in the chapter during recruitment, I knew I was making the right choice in going Chi O.

Over the last three years, some of my deepest and most meaningful friendships have been with the girls in my PC and other sisters I have met through Kappa Beta. These friendships have pushed me to become a better leader, friend, and person, while also giving me some of my favorite memories. Whether I am laughing until I am crying with Eliza, getting a fun drink with Olivia, or hanging out with Annie and Alder, I know I can always be myself around my sisters and have the best time doing anything with them. I am so grateful for the friendships, memories, and sense of belonging that Chi O has given me, and I know the connections I have made here will last me a lifetime! LICO!!!! ALWAYS!!!!”

This week on , we’re hearing from Olivia and Sophie—sisters (quite literally) in Kappa Beta—about what their experience has meant to them!

Olivia: “Last year, I was so excited for Sophie to join me at Rhodes. I pictured us grabbing matcha, studying in the library, and spending my final college years side by side. I looked forward to introducing her to my friends, but I never imagined we would end up sharing so many of the same people. Watching Sophie join Chi Omega this spring is a memory I will always cherish, specifically seeing her grow close with some of my best friends in the chapter, such as Abby and Mallory . Serving as an SST also allowed me to build friendships with the incredible girls in her pledge class. I can’t believe I only have one year left at Rhodes with my built-in best friend, but I am incredibly grateful for the memories we’ve made. Kappa Beta’s greatest gift has been letting me experience this sisterhood alongside my best friend, who makes our chapter a bit more spunky, intelligent, and kind.”

Sophie: “I’m insanely grateful to be in Chi Omega with my sister, Olivia. Before I decided to attend Rhodes, she would always rave about the beauty of her sorority and the wonderful friendships that come from it. Now, I know that she wasn’t exaggerating. I feel at home in the Chi O lodge, and I feel more bonded to my sister than ever before. Sharing a sisterhood and a cause makes it apparent how closely our values align. Now, we get to exercise our mutual skills and beliefs that we gathered in our upbringing to make a change together.
Olivia and I now share a multitude of sisters, and I see pieces of her in every one of them. I truly believe that my sister is the embodiment of Chi Omega, and I can count on her for anything at any time. I was lucky enough to have experienced true sisterly love in my childhood. Now, I am able to show this same love to the many sisters that Olivia and I share. We have had our ups and downs, but without Olivia, I would not be who I am today. As we continue to grow together, I hope to pass on the lessons she has taught me to the rest of our beautiful chapter.”

We are so proud to announce that our very own Ariyana Muesse has been inducted into the Rhodes College Hall of Fame!

Since 1931, this prestigious honor has recognized students for their individual merit, leadership in student activities, service to others, and overall contributions to the campus community. It is considered one of the highest honors a student can receive, and we could not be more excited to see a Kappa Beta recognized for such an incredible legacy.

Alongside her Political Science and International Studies double major and her leadership in Chi Omega, Ariyana has served as an ACCESS mentor, a Lynx Ambassador, the Vice President of SACA, the President of the Alumni Ambassador Association, a Senator, and a member of the Rhodes Student Government Executive Board.

Senior Shoutout!⭐️

In just 2 days, our seniors will be graduating and heading off to bigger and better things. We are so honored to have these women as part of Kappa Beta, and we cannot wait to watch them continue to grow and succeed outside Rhodes. We love you, seniors! 💛
