Across Wisconsin and the nation, healthcare systems are facing a critical workforce shortage that affects hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health organizations.

In response, Concordia University Wisconsin is helping meet this urgent need by preparing dedicated graduates who are ready to serve where they are needed most.

The project includes approximately 26,000 square feet of new construction along with 11,650 square feet of renovated space, creating a state-of-the-art environment designed for hands-on learning, collaboration, and clinical preparation.

Groundbreaking will occur in spring, and construction is expected to continue through summer 2027, with the space anticipated to be ready for use for the Fall 2027 semester.

In 2025 alone, CUW awarded 388 healthcare-related degrees, including 68 Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees, contributing skilled nurses who are stepping directly into frontline care.

Dr. Parve cut the ribbon on the School of Nursing Snack Shack this morning! One in three nursing students struggle with regular meals due to schedules and cost. This is open to all School of Nursing students at CUW!

Professional nursing includes informed, engaged advocacy.

Students and faculty from Concordia University Wisconsin will take part in Nurses Day at the Capitol on Tuesday, February 24 in Madison. Participants will connect with policymakers, strengthen leadership capacity, and contribute to conversations that impact patient care throughout Wisconsin.
