Writing our own traditions is the great privilege that comes with founding a School of Nursing, and in true MSU fashion, it has become our tradition to ring the cowbell with each notice of an NCLEX pass, signifying another registered nurse has entered the workforce.

Nothing beats the sound of a cowbell and the news that a student has passed the NCLEX and crossed this important milestone.

Students can expect when they join the MSU School of Nursing, they're not just a number! We support and celebrate each individual and genuinely want to see them connected with the patients who need them most.

Congratulations to our newest graduates on their incredible achievements. We couldn't be prouder!

We loved welcoming our new students to the Bulldog family and having our returning students back on campus for class on Saturday!
It was a great day of learning, connecting and starting the semester together. We’re excited for the year ahead and all that our students will accomplish.

🚧Please be aware of this temporary road closure on Monday, August 10, for HVAC repairs at the MSU Riley Center. We appreciate the City of Meridian for partnering with us to keep the community informed and thank everyone for their patience as we complete these important improvements.

TRAFFIC NOTICE: Temporary Closure of 22nd Avenue

On Monday, August 10, 22nd Avenue will be closed between 5th and 6th streets from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The closure will allow crews to complete HVAC repairs and upgrades at the Mississippi State University Riley Center.

Detour signs will be posted, and motorists are encouraged to follow the designated routes, use caution and allow extra travel time while moving through downtown Meridian.

The City of Meridian, Mississippi, and Mississippi State University-Meridian appreciate your patience as this important work is completed.

We're wishing our newest Meridian-area Bulldogs happy trails as they head off to our Starkville campus as freshmen! Hosted by the Mississippi State Alumni Association, the students and their families were welcomed at a party Thursday evening at the MSU-Meridian Bulldog Shop.

When Mississippi State University-Meridian’s newest Master of Science in Nursing graduates receive their degrees this August, they’ll enter the profession equipped to serve communities across the state and beyond. Four of these grads attribute their success, in part, to scholarships they received from the Mississippi Nurses Foundation.
