ASU , the Tuesday 1 pm lab class visited the QEC American Airlines engine shop on 4 Nov 25.The shop supervisor Kennith hosted our visit. The students learned about the Airbus 2500 engines as well as the new leap 1 B engines. Our host pointed out all details on the engines From the EEC , igniter plugs, fuel nozzles, gear box, ACGeneratot, air / oil heat exchangers, fire loops and more.After that the students observed air bus aircraft underwing main the hangar.The students enjoyed the visit and see the value of hard work and study, to graduate and later work for a great company like American.Many thanks to our host Kennith for a great visit.

The ASP power plants 1pm Wednesday lab class visited American Airlines Hangar engine shop on 5 Nov 25. We were hosted by Kennith, the shop maintenance supervisor. It was a QEC facility. The students observed the Airbus 2500 and the new Leap 1A engines.The students learned many details about airline engines. For example, on the first flight of the day the engine should be run for five minutes before take off power is applied. The students toured the hangar and observed airbus and a Boeing Max having the fuel nozzles cleaned. This was another great opportunity for the students to learn and observe engines to which they are studying in classes at school. They are motivated to stay in school and graduate, so they too can experience a career in airline aviation.Thanks to American for allowing Kennith to host our visit.

ASU Wednesday night power-plants lab visited SWAHangar and they were hosted by our dear friend Kevin a maintenance supervisor. The students ovserved CFM 56-7 engines in the engine shop and toured all the hangar operations on going and were able to go inside a a 737- 800 and observed all the parts aossoiated with the aircraft structure. Also ther was a 737 max in the hangar. The visit concluded with a visit to the cockpit window repair section. Another great visit hosted by Kevin. These field trip visits motivate our students to stay in school and graduate and one day work for a great company like SWA.

The ASU wed night power plants lab class tonight visited Aircraft Engine Specialist business and learned about their Part 145 repair shop business. They are very metaculous to details when they work on general aviation aircraft engines. Many thank to their employess for hosting my three lab classes in the last two days. The Wednesday afternoon powerplants lab class toured Aircraft Engine Specialist overhaul business today. Very interesting how a part 145 business overhauls general aviation aircraft piston engines. This is a must see operation for any career pilot.

The 1pm ASU power plants lab class visited Aircraft Engine Specialist airplane engine overhaul facility today. 7 October 2025. All Han a great learning experience seeing how the professionals over haul engines from start to finish. This was apart 145 repair facility.

The Wednesday night Power plants lab recently visited chandler gilbert community college's radial engine displays to review info from the lecture class. Numbering of cylinders, timing of the engine, oil sump, and operation of the valves.Agood time was had by all.

The fall 25 semester is well under way for ASU aviation. What follows is activity in the power plant labs. All three labs just finished the disassembly! Reassembly of a six cylinder airplane engine. This training is familiarization training only for our students. The wed night lab pictures follow first.

Additionally the 1 pm tuesday engines lab class visited American AirlinesQEC engine shop at the Phonix airport. Mr. Ken the manager hosted the visit. Many thanks to him for hosting the classes every semester.The class learned much about the new leap engine and the V2500 engines.see phots attached.
