We are seeking a qualified, professional Military Recruiting Specialist to coordinate the development of relationships with personnel on military bases and within the community to generate leads, The Military External Recruiter is responsible for increasing enrollment in all programs. This position focuses on recruiting military personnel and increasing community and military awareness of Texas Advancement center. The Military External Recruiter participates in activities that promote the programs campus, and TAC brand.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Increasing awareness of TAC within the community.
Creating relationships with personnel on military bases, high school guidance counselors, professors & career services
Attending high school career and college and educational fairs
Attending community health fairs.
Presenting programs on military bases and at military education fairs.
Adhering to departmental dress codes. Department regulations for appearance and dress take precedence over campus-wide dress codes.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
EDUCATION/EXPERTISE:
Background inmilitary recruitment, higher education recruitment, knowledge of higher education admissions and financial aid requirements for military personnel, and knowledge of VA and GI funding for higher education.
High School diploma, Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred, computer literacy, bilingual helpful but not necessary.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/ETC.:
Ability to read, write, speak, think critically, multi-task, plan, execute, effectively present program information and educational opportunities to prospective students, faculty, academic and campus leaders, corporate leaders, and military personnel on and off bases.
Professional, self-driven, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Follow through with prospective students is key requirement.
Must be proficient with the use of standard office applications on personal computers.
