Caught a great story this morning in PantherNOW! Two journalism alums behind the restaurant “Smoke and Dough” serving up Miami-style barbecue in West Kendall. It reminds me of my own journey in which journalism didn’t quite work out the way I expected. But the skills I learned while a student at FIU School of Communication are transferable to just about every industry, and the same was the case for this trailblazing couple. Congrats on this incredible achievement! Will visit you soon! Great job on this article Mhyanif Lozada.

Previously being lauded by the Miami Herald and PBS, this local restaurant's barbeque run by FIU alumni has reached national acclaim.
