It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our esteemed Dr. J. Donald Temple who served as our Program Director from 1992 to 2022. His loss is not only felt within our institution but reverberates across the globe, as his impact on medical education has been profound and far-reaching. Dr. Temple's visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and passion for excellence have left an indelible mark on the field. Through his innovative initiatives, tireless advocacy, and commitment to mentorship, he has shaped the future of medical education and influenced countless aspiring healthcare professionals worldwide. His legacy will endure through the countless lives he has touched and the transformative changes he has brought to the realm of medical training. We mourn the loss of a true pioneer and extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and all those who have been touched by his remarkable legacy.

Dr. J. Donald Temple, a renowned hematologist and longtime member of the Miller School of Medicine family, passed away on April 26.
