Congratulations to Daphne Sugino Souffront for her publication in American Chemical Society Agricultural Science & Technology Journal.

The ecological challenges can vary over a plant’s lifetime. To overcome these changing conditions some plants will show striking differences in their chemical composition at different times in their development. Here, we use an untargeted metabolomic approach to quantify the changes in low molecul...

Agroecology Program's Research and Development Work on Climate Control Agriculture suitable and applicable for Urban areas like Miami to grow crops, vegetables, and ornamentals. A combination of originality, innovation, novelty and technology.

Laboratory-grade plant growth chambers provide controlled environments ideal for reproduceable studies, but their high cost and limited space present drawbacks. An alternative approach involves retrofitting decommissioned shipping containers to serve as large-scale growth chambers. We present the co...

Dream Come True is just not a phrase in my case!
I always wanted to work in Washington DC. It is happening now at least! Thanks to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering & Medicine's Jefferson Science Fellow. As a Jefferson Science Fellow, I started working for the USAID Agency - Resilence, Environment, & Food Security Division with a primary focus on the country, Niger. People involved with this program at NASES, USAID, STATE are friendly and welcoming. I am hoping to get most out of this experience to expand my horizon on environment, food, and agriculture and enrich my professional career.

Fond memories are back around L Enfant Plaza area. Memorable time spent during USDA-NIFA PDs meetings, review panels etc. The current office I am in is just adjacent to the L Enfant Plaza.
