Federal judge Sergio Moro, in charge of of the case known as Operação Lava Jato, will be giving this year’s keynote address at the Third Annual Conference on the Fight Against Corruption and Impunity to be held at FIU College of Law.
The event is on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 in the Large Courtroom (RDB 1000).
This year’s conference will gather a number of practitioners and public officials from different parts of the world and high-ranking representatives of the governments of Argentina, Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, Guatemala and El Salvador, among others. Since our inaugural event in 2016, the FIU annual conference has become a key forum for anti-corruption leaders from around the world to meet to discuss and analyze the anti-corruption movement’s recent successes, as well as the challenges that remain. This year’s program will focus on recent anti-corruption developments and hot topics, including, civil asset recovery, cutting-edge investigative tools, forensic accounting developments and third-party litigation funding as a tool to even the playing field with well-resourced corrupt actors.
