Students from the Curious Minds Summer STEM Academy recently enjoyed an inspiring visit to BankUnited Headquarters in Miami Lakes, where they had the opportunity to explore the intersection of innovation, technology, and business. During the visit, students gained valuable insight into career pathways in banking and finance while learning how STEM skills are applied in real-world professional environments. The experience encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and future career exploration, empowering students to see themselves as the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and leaders. We are grateful to BankUnited for providing such a welcoming and educational experience that helped bring classroom learning to life.

This morning, June 1, 2026, Miami Dade College North Campus and the Carrie P. Meek Entrepreneurial Education Center proudly hosted the Arcola Lake Elementary School 5th Grade Promotional Ceremony in our Conference Center Room 3249.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with our community and celebrate the achievements of these bright young students. Their future is full of promise, and we’re honored to be part of their journey.
