Delta Lambda Phi offers the structure of a traditional Greek social organization; founded by and for a decidedly nontraditional group: gay, bisexual, trans, queer and ally men. Since 1986, Delta Lambda Phi has allowed these men the opportunity to lead, to grow, and to form lifelong bonds with other likeminded men. The Beta Delta chapter consists of a diverse, fun, and driven group of gentlemen. Ou

r local philanthropy is Care Resource: South Florida's largest HIV/AIDS non-profit. It provides crucial education, prevention, research, care/treatment, and support services to the two counties that are unfortunately leading the nation in new HIV cases per capita. We're proud to say that we volunteer and also raise thousands for them each year. Like all other chapters in our fraternity, we strive to, "Make our presence make a difference." We accomplish this through social, educational, business, and philanthropic activities that enrich the lives of those in the brotherhood as well as those in the South Florida community at large. Brotherhood is of course the heart of our chapter and fraternity in more ways than one.

HIV stands for human immunodeficiency virus. If left untreated, HIV can lead to the disease AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
Unlike some other viruses, the human body can’t get rid of HIV completely. So once you have HIV, you have it for life. Unlike some other viruses, the human body can’t get rid of HIV completely. So once you have HIV, you have it for life. HIV attacks the body’s immune system, specifically the CD4 cells (T cells), which help the immune system fight off infections. If left untreated, HIV reduces the number of CD4 cells (T cells) in the body, making the person more likely to get infections or infection-related cancers. Over time, HIV can destroy so many of these cells that the body can’t fight off infections and disease. These opportunistic infections or cancers take advantage of a very weak immune system and signal that the person has AIDS, the last state of HIV infection. More than 1.2 million people in the US are currently living with HIV, and 1 in 8 of them don't know it. The only way to know for sure is to get yourself tested. Let's raise awareness and fight the stigma this World AIDS Day. ❤️
