Officers of the University of Miami Hurricanes Student Chapter of AAPG participated in "Women in Science" Day at the RSMAS Campus. This is a program where young girls are given the opportunity to interact with other female scientists to inspire them to build a future career in the STEM fields! Officers include Ph.D. and M.Sc. Students: Kimberly C. Galvez (Vice President), Anna Ling (Treasurer), Sara Bashah (Secretary) and Mingyue Wu.

We thank the CSL - Center for Carbonate Research for providing the necessary materials and resources for this to take place.

Come join fellow students in a short course titled "Sedimentology and Sequence Stratigraphy of the Marginal Marine Clastics" in the Book Cliffs, Utah USA May 16-18 (the weekend before AAPG 2018)! Applied Stratigraphix will be the field trip leader during this field trip!
