🎥Dr. Aderinto's documentary project was featured in a film about the research conducted by winners of the Dan David Prize. "The Women of Fuji," Episode II of his documentary has received the following recognitions since it was released on March 8.

It’s that time of year again! We are so happy to celebrate our students’ accomplishments, including the graduation of two standout Ph.D. students, Melina Haberl and Darlene Westleigh. And thanks to former FIU History students and others who traveled from far and wide to our pre-graduation luncheon honoring the tremendous accomplishments and contributions of Dr. Jenna Gibbs during her approximately two decades with the Department. FIU History Department professor Bianca Premo has been named a National Humanities Center Fellow for 2026-27. She'll spend the year in North Carolina completing her book "Peru's 'Youngest Mother in the World' and the Ethics of History," examining the case of a young Peruvian girl who gave birth at age five in 1939 and how her story has been used and retold across decades. Dr. Premo joins a class of 29 Fellows selected from across the country and abroad.
