FIU Art + Art History Project Room

FIU Art + Art History Project Room The FIU A+AH Project Room at The Bakehouse is a curated space that FIU alumni/students in Miami can apply to for part-time residencies and exhibitions.

The FIU Art + Art History Project Room at the Bakehouse Art Complex is a curated space overlooking Midtown Miami that joins the efforts of students from the FIU Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Arts, the MFA in Visual Arts: Curatorial Practice Track, and the FIU BFA in Art programs, along with faculty and alumni of the FIU Art + Art History Department. Participating artists submit works and are

chosen to engage in short, one-week residencies and/or longer, one-month exhibitions. Those interested in exhibiting in the Project Room at the Bakehouse Art Complex should apply through the Programming Coordinator/Curator, Brittni Winkler ([email protected]) and/or FIU Art + Art History Department Chair Jacek Kolasinski ([email protected]). The artists are encouraged to submit artwork that can be made into site-specific installations and that include art practices that include, but are not limited to, new media, mixed media, installation, sculpture, painting, and photography.
