Hi everyone! We hope you had a great break and are enjoying J-term. We're going to have our first meeting of 2018 this Wednesday (1/17) at 4:30 in the Ross Fireplace Lounge!

If you want to take part in the club this coming year in any capacity, please come! We'll be talking about plans and expectations, hopes and dreams, and vegetables. If you're interested in farming, cooking in the pizza oven, mindfulness, or have ideas for projects, we want you! (If you can't make it, just shoot us an email at [email protected]!)

Also, we're having a farm visit this coming Sunday (1/21) at 1 pm to Four Pillars Farm in Whiting! We will see their winter greens production and their compost heating system currently under construction! Sign up with the survey below if interested.

On Sunday 1/21 at 1 pm! BRING BOOTS for the short walk from the cars to the farm.

Our first meeting of the year will be this Thursday at 4:30! Come to the Hillcrest lounge, and we'll all walk down to the farm from there.

Also, volunteer hours for this fall are: 8:30-10:30 AM and 3-5 PM. See you out there!

Hey Everyone!
Today, we will be having a farmer dinner at Weybridge at 6:30! We will be joined by Don and Cheryl Mitchell who started Treleven Farm in Vergennes.

Treleven farm is part of a cooperative that promotes social justice through a practical and spiritual connection to the land. Along with other local farmers, they organize workshops, classes, celebrations, and certification programs that follow these goals. Don and Cheryl have been raising sheep and vegetables for the past 40+ years, and are here to share how they got into farming, what has kept them farming, and so much more!

Hey Farm Friends!

We will be having our first farmer dinner of the spring semester TOMORROW at 6:30 at Weybridge House!

David Dolginow and Colin Davis will be joining us. They run Shacksbury Cider, which is an orchard and cider making business. They also started a really cool initiative called the LOST TREE PROJECT through which they find old and often lost varieties of apple trees around Vermont and then record them and make cider. David is also a Midd alum and will be helping us with our own orchard project this spring!

We hope to see you tomorrow night for some good food and conversation about cider making and apple trees!

They will be here to discuss the management of their farm, their cheese making process and how these experiences have helped to shape their creative work. You won't want to miss it!
