We just wrapped up our first week of classes! 🎉

As per usual, we kicked off the semester with our New Student Orientation, where our newest students got the inside scoop on academic success and life on campus.

We also got to know our new students better while relaxing in our newly renovated courtyard—which is officially our new favorite spot to soak up the sun between classes! ☀️🌿

And, of course, we wrapped up the week with a welcome BBQ for all our students! 🍔🌭

Hey, what have our Alumni been up to all summer? 🎨☀️

One of our MFA alumni, Nancy, has been busy creating, exhibiting, and connecting with the local arts community!

She participated in two arts events in New Paltz, NY, showcasing her latest oil paintings and joining fellow artists at the Borden Estate Plein Air Walk & Artist Reception.

The Plein Air Walk brought artists together to create original works inspired by the beautiful Borden Estate, with the resulting artwork featured in a fundraising auction supporting the artists and local nonprofits dedicated to education and creativity.

We love seeing our alumni take their work beyond the studio and into the broader arts community! ❤️🎨

And with school starting next week, we’re excited to see what’s coming up next! ✨

💞 Join us for our 2026 Fine Arts Exhibition! 🎨🖌️🖼️

🤗 Discover a curated selection of oil paintings and graphic design works by our undergraduate and graduate students. 🎉

We had a beautiful collection displayed last year (swipe through for some flashbacks!)… and now we’re ready to show you our latest masterpieces! ☺️✨

These works will be on display in our newly renovated Function Hall (65 Seward Avenue), from May 11 at 5 PM through May 17 at 4 PM. 👋 Stop by anytime! We’d love to say hi!

🍕Congrats to our Link Club and Arts Management students for bringing together our 4th Annual Night Market!

💖 Now a beloved campus tradition, this event gives students the chance to put their business skills to the test, by running their own booths and offering a variety of delicious foods. 🤤 From culinary treats to creative arts and crafts, there was a little something for everyone.

A huge congrats to our wonderful students who attended the 2026 FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) Collegiate Tri-State Conference, hosted earlier last month at University! 🏆

Our students earned multiple awards in several different categories, including Foundations of Economics, Impromptu Speaking, Entrepreneurship, and Future Business Facilitator. 👏

All of our students are qualified to enter the FBLA Collegiate Nationals coming up in June! Congrats to all of them! 🏅💯

Did you see our Dance Department Chair on the red carpet late last month? 🤭

Our very own Professor Alison Chen showed up in NYC for the premiere of 🌟UNBROKEN: The Untold Story of Shen Yun! Not only was she a part of the documentary, she also had the honor of joining the live Q&A that followed the movie screening. 🎬

The movie takes a deep dive into how Shen Yun—an American performing arts company—has been battling threats from a foreign regime. Despite all this, these talented artists continue to share their craft, in pursuit of reviving traditional Chinese culture and exposing human rights atrocities in China. 🕊️

UNBROKEN will be streaming online for free until April 12. 🌸 Hurry! Go check it out at 💫
