Midland College extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and former students of Coach Joe Williams, who passed away Oct. 1. Coach Williams led the Midland College men’s and women’s tennis programs from 1983–2000 and served as Athletic Director from 1994–2000. During his tenure, his teams brought home six national tennis championships, and after launching the MC women’s golf program, he coached the team to three consecutive national championships.

His impact on Midland College Athletics and generations of student-athletes will long be remembered. We are grateful for his years of service to MC and send our deepest sympathies to all who knew and loved him. πŸ’šπŸ’›
