On September 11, we invite our community to walk through a powerful tribute honoring the 2,977 lives lost 25 years ago.

In partnership with the Great Lakes Bay Veterans Coalition, Northwood University’s Silent Memorial Walk will feature:
Actual-size footprints of the Twin Towers
Footprints representing the planes and Pentagon
Memorial markers honoring those lost
An American flag display

The tribute continues inside Hantz Stadium with an optional stair climb and the names of those lost displayed on the video board.

The memorial will remain open throughout the weekend for reflection.

As a Gold Star father, Dr. Warner brings a deeply personal perspective to the legacy of 9/11 and the generation called to serve in the years that followed.

Congratulations to Dallas Rau '18, recipient of the Alumni Service Award!🎉

Dallas Rau is a mental health advocate and executive director of the Great Lakes Bay Region Mental Health Partnership at CMU Health, leading efforts across Midland, Bay City, Saginaw, and Isabella counties to expand mental health education, reduce stigma and connect individuals with support. A certified Teen Mental Health First Aid instructor, Dallas empowers young people to recognize when a peer may be struggling and connect them with trusted resources. A proud Northwood University alumna, Dallas exemplifies The Northwood Idea through individual initiative, personal responsibility and voluntary service. Her work equips people with the knowledge and confidence to recognize challenges, make informed choices and support themselves and others.

We are excited to celebrate Dallas along with the rest of the 2026 class of Outstanding Alumni at the OAA Reception during Auto Show weekend on September 17, 2026, on campus in the Hach Student Life Center.

Congratulations to Charlee Simanskey '23 MBA '24, recipient of the Young Alumni Award!🎉

Charlee Simanskey is the senior supply chain scheduling specialist at Dow, where she has led projects generating more than $1 million in annualized savings. In 2025, her sustainable supply chain work helped preserve more than 2.4 million gallons of water annually and delivered a projected $46 million net present value over 10 years, earning her Dow’s Luminary Award, the company’s highest recognition in Integrated Supply Chain. A summa cm laude graduate and international DECA champion, Charlee credits her Northwood education and professors for helping launch her career. Today, she continues to give back to Northwood through the Alumni Leadership Council, President’s Circle of Young Alumni and Operations and Supply Chain Management Advisory Board.

Make Your Voice Count

Last semester, alumni voted to bring a new disc golf course to campus. That’s the power of Project 100!

Here’s how it works: 100 alumni give $100 each, creating a $10,000 fund for a student led campus project. Each April and November, student groups pitch their ideas, and Project 100 donors vote on which project they want to bring to life. The winning group receives the full $10,000 to make it happen.

The next Project 100 meeting is November 11, 2026. Join fellow alumni in shaping the future of Northwood. Your $100 and your vote can make a lasting impact on campus.

Congratulations to Tate Treacy '98, recipient of the Alumni Leadership Award at this year's Outstanding Alumni Awards. 🎉

Tate Treacy has built a 20+ year career in the automotive industry, including 11 years with Kia America and his current role as Retail Performance Manager at Hyundai Motor America. A highly engaged Northwood alumnus, Tate has served on the Auto Show Gala Committee and helped coordinate Kia’s presence at the Northwood University International Auto Show for the past seven years. He is also a dedicated XAM supporter, leading the fraternity’s matching-gift efforts for Northwood’s Day of Giving. Through his automotive leadership and commitment to Northwood, Tate continues to connect industry professionals with students and help create opportunities for the next generation of automotive leaders.
