MC takes the Big Apple! 🍎
Our Chaps really are EVERYWHERE! Antonio Erazo, one of our maintenance technicians, made it all the way to Times Square and couldn’t pass up the chance to throw up the Chaps sign. Just another day of spotting Chaps in the wild.

Lauren and Jake met their first week at Midland College as Legacy Scholars. They became best friends, served together through Students in Philanthropy and even ran against each other for president. Jake won. She became vice president. And yes, apparently he spent quite a while in the friend zone after that.

Eventually, friendship turned into something else. They married in 2021 and are now raising the fourth generation of their family right here in Midland. But when Jake and Lauren look back at their Legacy experience today, their story is about something even bigger: a community that chose to invest in them.

That investment helped them earn an education, discover passions that shaped their careers and develop a commitment to giving back to the community that gave so much to them. As Jake puts it, “𝐀𝐭 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐧𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.”

Forty years of Legacy has created a lot of stories. We’re pretty fond of this one.

Our Respiratory Care students spent some hands-on time learning the different types of respiratory masks, how to properly assemble them and how to correctly fit them to a patient. 🫁 It’s one of many skills students build throughout MC’s Respiratory Care program as they prepare to care for patients with breathing and cardiopulmonary conditions in hospitals and other healthcare settings.

“It’s all here.” And honestly, we couldn’t have said it better ourselves. 👏 Our 2026 College Night brought 70+ colleges, universities and military branches together with our Chaps and high school students from across the Permian Basin.

From exploring college options to learning about life after high school, our students had the chance to ask questions, meet representatives and see what could be next for them. Your future after MC is waiting. 💚
