Vassar College Equestrian Team

Vassar College Equestrian Team The Vassar College Equestrian Team is a club sport and a competitive team in the IHSA Zone 3 Region 3. We also volunteer at a local horse rescue.

MLC Farm is the home of the Vassar College Equestrian Team. The Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) has grown and developed since it was established in 1967.The IHSA encompasses 29 Regions in 9 Zones with more than 300 member colleges. The team competes in Zone 3, Region 3.The Team offers competitive English riding at the intercollegiate level to any member of the Vassar student populati

on. Students ride weekly at MLC Farm in group lessons as well as riding as a club both semesters. The club itself has about 20 students in which 10 of those riders compete in the IHSA. The group also hosts/cohosts an IHSA horse show every year. Throughout the years, the team has grown and has become one of the largest club sports at Vassar College

The Vassar College Equestrian Team has some egg-cellent news to share: We’re hosting pony rides and a free small easter egg hunt this weekend, April 18th, 3:30pm at MLC Farm!

🐴 If you’re horse-curious, but don’t want to commit to a full semester of lessons, then this is your chance to hop in the saddle and ride! Pony rides are only $30, and you’ll get the chance to hangout with the MLC ponies till your heart’s content! What’s more? Some of the proceeds from the pony rides will go to support the team in our efforts to meet the financial needs of future riders!

🐣 Both pony rides and the egg hunt are for people of all ages and backgrounds! If you’d like to register, scan the QR code on this poster or go to the link in our bio!

Our last but CERTAINLY not least Senior spotlight is Chloe Comeau!! Chloe has been a part of our program since freshman year. She has been treasurer these past two years and co-captain this year. Chloe is our resident go-to girl, no matter what you need Chloe has it or has a plan to get it. We will miss her dedication, brilliant ideas, and black soul (if ykyk) 🖤 please come and support all our seniors this Sunday at Marist!!
