GCSU Alumni Award holder Brittany Curry (aka Inky Brittany) creates illustrations in real time during presentations, lectures and meetings. Inky Brittany’s illustrations have been used to help award major grant dollars to nonprofits like Healthy Savannah. Curry says that she applies critical thinking daily and that GCSU gave her the ability to view complex problems from a variety of angles and how to solve them. Our fall 2027 application is now open exclusively through Common App. Apply early for your chance to be invited to GCSU’s prestigious President’s Scholarship Competition where over $200K in scholarships are awarded each year. The Port of Savannah, the largest single container terminal in the Western Hemisphere, is thriving with help from alumni Gavin Holloway (’23). Gavin works at Savannah Logistics Group, which invests in AI technology to increase the company’s efficiency. A group of GCSU marketing, management and mass communication students traveled to New York City this summer for an immersive study away program. First-Year Application Update: GCSU’s fall 2027 first-year application will open on August 1 exclusively through the Common App – moving the application, essay and fee into one platform to simplify the process for future fall applicants. For the required essay, applicants will have the flexibility of choosing one of seven Common App essay prompts which now replaces the GCSU-specific essay.
