Today we wrapped up Week 2 of JROTC Cadet Leadership Challenge (JCLC) Camp at Georgia Military College. On Sunday, we welcomed 214 motivated cadets from 19 different schools across the state of Georgia for a weeklong camp. We are proud to host these future leaders and support them through hands-on leadership training, while on our campus.
JCLC camp at GMC is an experience that pushes these young leaders and allows them to learn all about teamwork, critical thinking, and discipline. Under the guidance of experienced military instructors and JROTC leaders, the cadets were able to gain skills in teamwork by participating in an obstacle course and building their own rafts, enhance their knowledge in water safety when learning to canoe and turning a pair of pants into a life jacket, and gaining technical skills when learning how to fly drones and how to read a map.
JCLC camp at GMC offers students the opportunity for fellowship and to create friendships that will last a lifetime, and we can’t wait to welcome cadets back next year!
