Georgia College Science Education Center The Science Education Center promotes access, interest and participation in science by people of all Ways To Give:

The Science Education Center is devoted to improving scientific literacy among the P-16 community by raising awareness and interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields through career programs and pipelines; improving student achievement with classroom resources and summer science programs; providing fun, memorable science learning experiences through hands-on exhibits and education programs; and enhancing teacher professional development through free workshops and training sessions. The Center was established in 2001 with generous support from the kaolin industry and the University System of Georgia's Eminent Scholars Trust Fund. Family Fun Night to Spark Curiosity with STEM Magic, Hands-On Activities, and Interactive Demonstrations
Where Science Comes Alive Through Discovery, and Fun!

The Science Education Center, Chemistry Club, and the Department of Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics invite families, students, and community members to an evening of discovery and excitement at Family Fun Night, a free STEM celebration designed for all ages.

The event will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Arts & Sciences Auditorium and the outdoor Fountain Area. This is a drop-in event, allowing guests to arrive and participate at any time during the evening.
Attendees will enjoy a variety of engaging STEM experiences, including Dr. Lisse's STEM Magic Show, hands-on science activities, interactive demonstrations, and many other educational adventures. From surprising scientific phenomena to exciting experiments, Family Fun Night offers an opportunity for visitors to explore the wonders of science in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Whether you're a young scientist, a curious parent, or simply looking for an entertaining evening, Family Fun Night promises something for everyone.

All fireworks require 4 parts: fuel, oxidizer, binder, and color! Metals produce different colors when heated as demonstrated by Dr. Lisse in the last picture. What's your favorite color?
